HIGH-winds sweeping across Inverness brought a stormy feel to the Highland capital at the weekend. There were, however, no reports of serious damage. No-one was wise to venture into woodland on Saturday, however, as branches were ripped off trees and some trees were left leaning at a precipitous angle. And up at Craig Dunain, a toppled tree smashed through metal fencing, within striking distance of houses nearby. The unseasonal weather has now given way to a forecast for a much calmer, sunnier and warmer spell ahead.
